I had mixed feelings about my stay at NJV Athens Plaza. While the location is right in the heart of Athens, close to Monastiraki Square and the Acropolis, the overall experience was hampered by outdated facilities and less-than-stellar service. Amenities were basic, and little issues, like the air conditioning not working efficiently, added to my disappointment.
Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was quite dated and not very clean. The AC wasn’t working properly, and I found it a bit of a hassle to request basic items like an iron. Although the spaciousness was a plus, the lack of modern updates made it less enjoyable.
Service
5.0
Unfortunately, I found the service lacking. The front desk staff seemed grumpy and not very helpful when I had questions. A particular incident at the coffee bar left me feeling frustrated when the staff changed their mind about where I could sit after I placed my order.

On the bright side, the hotel's location is perfect for exploring Athens. It's right near the Parliament House and just a short walk from various shops and restaurants, which made it super convenient for getting around the city.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was included, but honestly, it was pretty standard and not very exciting. The buffet had the basics, but I felt a bit let down compared to what I had experienced on another island resort. Plus, the coffee situation at the cafe was more trouble than it was worth.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities seemed a bit neglected. I noticed issues like the bathroom shower leaking and some furnishings looking worn. Housekeeping was prompt, but overall, the conditions felt more motel-like than a boutique hotel experience.

I had a wonderful stay at Njv Athens Plaza, enjoying the prime location right at Syntagma Square, which made exploring Athens a breeze. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the room was spacious and comfortable. However, I did experience a minor issue with the cleanliness of my bathroom and was a little disappointed with the erratic housekeeping service. Overall, it’s a lovely hotel with excellent breakfast options, but there's room for improvement in housekeeping practices.

My stay at Njv Athens Plaza was quite enjoyable, especially due to its prime location right in Syntagma Square, making it easy to explore Athens. The room, while older and needing a touch-up, was comfortable and very clean. However, the breakfast felt overpriced, and I wasn’t completely satisfied with the variety offered. Overall, it was a charming hotel with fascinating decor reminiscent of classic NYC hotels.

I recently stayed at Njv Athens Plaza and found the location on Syntagma Square to be superb, providing easy access to local attractions. However, the service was lacking—when I requested a bottle of water, I was denied due to hotel policy, which left a bad impression. Despite clean rooms and accommodating staff, the overall experience was mixed. 🌆🚫
